Girls Night In Cyberstamp Challenge

Whilst recovering from a fantastic Saturday, yesterday I took the opportunity to participate in an online challenge hosted by Jayne Mercer. Jayne hosted a Girls Night In event at here home as well as an online challenge for those who wanted to join in, but couldn't make it in person.

She had 3 challenges.

Challenge #1 - Make it PINK!
Create a card, scrapbook page or 3D item using the colour PINK and a neutral colour!
Here's mine. Not quite what I had pictured, but it sure packs a punch!
Card recipe
Card Stock: Basic Black, Melon Mambo
Stamp Set: Medallion
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Scallop circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, pearls, sticky strip, dimensionals

Challenge #2 - A sketch challenge
Using the pram card from page 56 of the Idea Book & Catalogue as your sketch, create your card, but remember, PINK is the colour of the day!
Here's my effort.
Card recipe
Card Stock: Pink Pirouette, Mellon Mambo, Regal Rose
Stamp Sets: Silhouette Sentiments
Ink: Mellon Mambo, Versa Mark
Other: Pretty in Pink Satin Ribbon, Curly Label punch, pearls, dimensionals, sticky strip
.
Challenge #3 - Case & Create
Take your pick from a card in the Idea Book & Catalogue and create a PINK card based on it.
I chose a card from page 50.
Card recipe
Card Stock: Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Mellon Mambo, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Sets: Eastern Blooms, Teeny Tiny Sentiments
Ink: Blushing Bride, Mellon Mambo, Basic Black
Punches: 1' circle, 1 1/4' circle, Heart to Heart
Other:Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Sticky Strip, Matt Pack, dimenstionals
.

Girls Night In

WELL... What a great day Saturday was for the Girls Night In event I co-hosted, along with Michelle, Sara, Angela, Sue & Naomi. Our Stamp'n'Fun event raised $1,325.50 for the Cancer Council. If you were able to join us, thanks SO much. If you were one of the lucky ladies who won one (or more in some cases) prizes on our raffle and luck door draw, congrats to you! We all had a blast and sure hope you did to. Though next year I suggest we splash out and hire a masseuse as our feet were killing us by the end of the day and a 'Sven' would have come in very handy :)

Can you believe we were so busy we didn't get a chance to take pictures. So if you came and did take pictures, we'd love to see them.

Cheers

SSSC89

I've taken part in a few sketch challenges, but get too busy and don't seem to get them posted in time. This week, it's different. I have taken part in the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. Here's my effort, compared to the sketch. Why not head over and have a look at the other fabulous creations.

Given that nearly every card at this time of the year is Halloween or Christmas, I thought I'd try to seer clear of these, so I made a male card - or a beer drinkers card....

Card Recipe
Card Stock: Sahara Sand, Peach Parfait, Basic Black, Whisper White
Stamp Sets: Cheers to You , Choo Choo
Inks: StazOn Black, Peach Parfait, Sahara Sand
Other: Sticky Strip, Crystal Effects, Aqua Painter, Blender Pen, Dimensionals, InColour DSP Patterns Stack

Cheers
