Happy Birthday Kaye!

Kaye is a good friend from my working days. Though we no longer work together, we have kept in touch and since she recently moved from her home town of Leeton, up to Sydney (conveniently she's only a few streets away), we see each other regularly.

I have used they layout from this weeks Unscripted Sketches challenge. As soon as I saw this layout, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. I haven't lodged my entry as they have added to the sketch, a piggyback challenge of using fabric somewhere within your creation. I might try to think outside the "Ribbon" box and have another go at this challenge.

Happy Birthday David!

Now this could be a touchy subject... Many of our friends are turning the big 4-0 this year, and to start it off was David. Happy 40th Dave!

I followed a Clean and Simple sketch for this layout. I even embossed the envelope for some added co-ordination. There were a few of us put together for a gift voucher, and I made a holder for it. Did I take a photo of it, NO!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Happy Valentines day to you all (so be it a bit late). I hope lots-o-lovin' came your way!

This is the card I made for my darling husband, Robert. It was a Clean and Simple sketch challenge that I didn't get entered in time.

Card Recipe
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Sentiments, Love Defined
Card Stock: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Real Red, Regal Rose
Ink: Soft Suede, Real Red Marker, Regal Rose Marker
Other: Frost White Shimmer Paint, Snail Adhesive, Dimensionals,

Here are the cards Emily & Zoe made for their daddy. Em made her card weeks ago, all by herself and I'm impressed with how well she lined up and mounted the hearts on top of each other. ZoZo's effort was, well to honest, um, how can I put it - a whole lot of love! I punched out various sized hearts from random red and pink paper, clued up some card and away she went. Whilst not quite the standard of the card I usually see on blogs, for a 5 1/2 and a 2 1/2 year olds, I'm very proud of their creations.

I could have entered them in either the Just Add Love challenge or the Hearts, hearts and more hearts challenge.

Card Recipe
Who knows - random card and paper, though the hearts were punched out with both of Stampin' Up!'s heart punches.

Cheers,
Donna

Wheelie Big Fundraiser

Wow! What an afternoon. It was so much fun to join in with so many like minded people (I won't say ladies, because I recall seeing at least 1 male joining in the fun...), stamping, chatting and raising money. Christie has advised that over $4,500 was raised for Alyssa and her family. Well done to everyone who participated. And a HUGE thanks to Kristie (and a long list of helpers) who made the event so much fun.

Here is a picture of the 6 cards we made.

Cheers,
Donna

This weeks Mojo Monday challenge was this sketch. We could choose which layout to use.

Thinking a little outside the box with this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. I decided to not go with a "spot on" approach to the challenge this week because as soon as I saw the sketch, I knew what I wanted to do. Here is my vision and the sketch layout I followed.
