Come and Have Some Fun!

Whilst I've been very lucky to not have had my family directly effected by cancer, I have friends who have.  So rather than participate in an event as I have in previous years, this year I'm hosting my own.  So if you're not busy the afternoon of October 23rd, then please come along and take part in my Papercraft & Pamper event.

If you'd like to come along and make 3 cards and an 3D item, then contact me to book your spot.

There is a cost of $30 to come and play, but that will cover entry and a $10 donation to the Cancer Council.  I will also have lucky door prizes, a raffle, refreshments and Clare, a consultant with the Body Shop will show you some of her lovely products that you can sample for a spot of pampering.

I'd love you to join int he fun, but if you can't make it, here's the link to my Girls Night In page, where you can make a donation, should you want to.
Here's a close up of what we'll make, so please consider coming and joining in the fun and raising money for a really great cause!  Hope to see you there!

Cheers,
Donna

Happy Birthday Ava

My social butterfly Emily, had another birthday party to attend for another of her school friends.

Ava had a disco party so her card was all shiny, though you can't really see it all that well in the photo :(  Because I had no ink to match the Brushed Copper card, I had to get a little creative with the ink, mixing some Real Red re-inker and Shimmer Paint.  I used the left over to colour the ribbon, so it matches.

Happy 6th birthday Ava.

NSW Regional Seminar

Every year, Stampin' Up! hold a regional seminar - a training seminar open to all SU! demonstrators.  This year I attended.  It was my first SU! event.  My day started at 6am when bright as a button I sprang out of bed (at lease 1/2 an hour earlier than any other day...).  Leaving home just after 7, I headed of for my drive into Darling Harbour.  Now I don't drive into the city very often at all, and when I have, it's not usually by myself.  I was very proud of my self that I didn't get lost and didn't even use my sat nav! There were 10 of us Creative Stampers there, and the most talented Belinda Hennessy was one of the presenters.  Amongst all the presentations and give-a-ways (yes free stuff), we are able to swap cards we've made with other demonstrators.

These are my swaps.  They were inspired by the Clean & Simple sketch challenge I recently took part in.

The swaps I made. There were 4 of each colour combo

Here are some photo's of the day.

The Three Sisters

What on earth posses someone to willingly go to Katoomba in the middle of winter? Well Christmas in July of course.  We stayed at The Carrington hotel and enjoyed their Yulefest celebration.  If you love old buildings with authentic creaky floors, stair cases and an old fashioned lift - with the sliding gate door, this place is for you.  It had so much character.
We couldn't book into our room until 2pm so we left home early on Saturday morning and took the girls to see The Three Sisters. No surprisingly they weren't really interested, other than the walk we took on one of the trails.

They did however, like Scenic World, riding the Skyway and Cableway and don't forget the Railway.  The girls loved running along the Walkway and squeezing between the trees in the board walk.

Here's some of my favourite pics of the weekend.
The Three Sisters
Zoe & Emily at the look out

Point 2 is the reason for this photo.

You may have seen this card before, it's one that we have made at one of my classes. I just love it, so I had to give it to him.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL.

Donna
