October Wrap Up!

Girls Night In!

My Girls Night In event was great, and I had some serious fun. I had so much fun, that I kept forgetting to take photos.... I did however capture a few moments, here they are.

It was a great afternoon and with every ones help, we managed to raise $185.50. Given that this was a small function (13 ladies) in my home, I'm quite happy with that effort. Thanks to everyone who came and purchased raffle tickets.

Happy Birthday Nicole!

My sister in law celecrated her birthday and this is the card I made her.  Repeated stamping of one image and a little clear embossing for a little more effect.

Happy birthday Nic!

Timmy Tiger visited us!

Zoes class at daycare has a pet tiger.  His name is Timmy and he's small sofy and cuddly.  The kids get to take him home for the week and then get to do a 2 page spread in his scrapbook, capturing all the fun things he got up to.

Now I'm no scrapbooker, so I was a bit daunted by this, but because the staff there know I'm a card maker, I felt the added preasure to create something more than a print out from the computer and a couple of happy snaps.

This is what I ended up with.

Happy Halloween!

I made 30 sour milk containers for Emily's friends at school.  They are great and can contain lollies (of course) or treats.

This is how they turned out.

Here are photos of my girls in their costumes for Trick or Treating.

Emily as a witch - very appropriate at times....

Zoe as a cat - her tail is back there somewhere...

Come and Have Some Fun!

Whilst I've been very lucky to not have had my family directly effected by cancer, I have friends who have.  So rather than participate in an event as I have in previous years, this year I'm hosting my own.  So if you're not busy the afternoon of October 23rd, then please come along and take part in my Papercraft & Pamper event.

If you'd like to come along and make 3 cards and an 3D item, then contact me to book your spot.

There is a cost of $30 to come and play, but that will cover entry and a $10 donation to the Cancer Council.  I will also have lucky door prizes, a raffle, refreshments and Clare, a consultant with the Body Shop will show you some of her lovely products that you can sample for a spot of pampering.

I'd love you to join int he fun, but if you can't make it, here's the link to my Girls Night In page, where you can make a donation, should you want to.
Here's a close up of what we'll make, so please consider coming and joining in the fun and raising money for a really great cause!  Hope to see you there!

Girls Night In Cyberstamp Challenge

Whilst recovering from a fantastic Saturday, yesterday I took the opportunity to participate in an online challenge hosted by Jayne Mercer. Jayne hosted a Girls Night In event at here home as well as an online challenge for those who wanted to join in, but couldn't make it in person.

She had 3 challenges.

Challenge #1 - Make it PINK!
Create a card, scrapbook page or 3D item using the colour PINK and a neutral colour!

Here's my effort.
Card recipe

Girls Night In

WELL... What a great day Saturday was for the Girls Night In event I co-hosted, along with Michelle, Sara, Angela, Sue & Naomi. Our Stamp'n'Fun event raised $1,325.50 for the Cancer Council. If you were able to join us, thanks SO much. If you were one of the lucky ladies who won one (or more in some cases) prizes on our raffle and luck door draw, congrats to you! We all had a blast and sure hope you did to. Though next year I suggest we splash out and hire a masseuse as our feet were killing us by the end of the day and a 'Sven' would have come in very handy :)

Can you believe we were so busy we didn't get a chance to take pictures. So if you came and did take pictures, we'd love to see them.

Cheers
