January Wrap Up! - so far...

Happy New Year!

Cheers to you.  May 2012 bring you everything you wish for.

Happy Birthday Thomas!

Tommy celebrated his 3rd birthday and we had a little get together at Bent's Basin, where my folks are camping.  This is the card I made him.

Happy Birthday Tommy.

Sale-a-bration!

Yes it's on again this year.  Between 24th January & 31st March, for every $100 product order you place, you get to choose from a special collection of stamps, DSP, ribbon & brads from this years Sale-a-bration range.

So if you want FREE STUFF - I mean really, who doesn't, then contact me today to book your workshop.  Don't delay as you might miss out!

Holiday Get Together!

As has become accustomed, each school holidays we head over to my up line Joanna Wassens' house for our holiday get together.  This time we had 7 ladies and 8 kids.

I made 2 cards as I thought the first card was too simple.  My second design was more than suitable, but I had already pre-cut everything for the first card, so I thought I'd take both.

These are the cards I designed;

card 1

card 2
 Joanna also had 2 designs
Joanna's card 1

Joanna's card 2

These are the other cards made on the day.  The designers names are below each card.

Christie Kunkle

Rachel Capps

Sara DiSanti

Dawn Ferguson
Belinda  Hennesey
Guess who's got her mojo back!!!

How many new products can you spot?  They'll either be from the Summer Mini Catalogue or the sale-a-bration range.

 Happy Birthday Gail!

To celebrate Gail's birthday tomorrow, we're off to Yum Cha for lunch, and yes I'll be wearing a loose fitting dress so there's room to expand...  Gail is a fellow card maker ans she scrapbooks too, so there's no pressure to create something outstanding.  I was totally inspired by Joanna's card from our holiday get together.  Hope she likes it.

Happy birthday Gail.

Cheers,
Donna

December Wrap Up!

Yikes, this will be a long one....

Summer Mini Catalogue

It's stared, it's pretty, and has lots of lovely new goodies: stamps, DSP's, punches, accessories and also the introduction of the Simply Adorned range.

If you haven't yet seen the Summer Mini Catalogue, then contact me and I'll post one out to you, or click the link to the right and view it online or down load it for future reference.

Happy Birthday Kristian!

This year Kristian turned 7.  We headed over to his house to celebrate, and of course took a gift and a card.  Here's a picture of the card.

Happy birthday Krissy!

Happy Birthday Matthew!

We headed straight from Krissy's party down to my brothers place to see him and our Nephew Matthew, whose birthday was the 6th.  Matty turned 7 and is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so I made his card using the Griffindore colours.

Happy birthday Matty!

Happy Birthday Andrew!

The 7th was my brother's 40th birthday (poor old bugger).  He and Nicole headed off on a 3 day cruise, whilst mum and dad baby sat their 4 kids.  Here's his card.

Happy Birthday Ange!

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

Another of Emily's classmates had a birthday and this is the card I made for Charlotte.

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

Secret Santa

Each year the Creative Stampers do a Secret Santa.  Our fearless leader Joanna hands out our gifts at our Christmas get together.  My Secret Santa was the beautiful Dawn Ferguson, and this is what she gave me, thanks Dawn!

Ribbon, In-colour Markers and a Sizzix die

a close up of the Swirls Scribbles die - my new favourite!
I also received a card from my up-line Joanna.  Even though the card doesn't look at all christmassy, the message was.  It was a sneak peak for us of the Sale-a-bration items.

Christmas Cards!

I don't know how, as it happens the same time every year, but Christmas just crept up on me.  I was taking so long to finish my Christmas cards that I was told by Rob that if I didn't get them finished and posted by a certain date, that I had do go and buy cards (such blasphemy....)  Needless to say, cards were made and sent on time.  Except for the relies over seas :( Sorry to them.  Here's the range I made this year.

Rebecca's Christening!

Our lovely baby niece had her christening and this is the card I made for the occasion.  I had to get creative for this one.  I don't have any stamps suitable for a christening, so I got busy with my lace ribbon border punch, trimmed it down and made a cross.

Hope you had a lovely day Becci.

Happy Birthday Ben!

Ben turned 2 and his party was the same day as Becci's christening so we couldn't go but I did still make him a card.  Here it is.

Happy birthday Ben!

Special Christmas Cards!

I had to make 2 extra special Christmas cards this year.  One for Emily's teacher and one for her buddy Chloe.  Miss Fizely is such a beautiful lady and a great teacher.  Chloe was Em's year 6 buddy and since day one of school, always looked out for Em.

Em will miss seeing them both every day this year as she heads off to year 1 and has a new teacher, and Chloe start high school.

Thanks for your help last year.  Here's the card I made for them.  All up it took me an hour to make these two cards...

Happy Birthday Alissa!

I hope Alissa doesn't see this post as I haven't seen her for her birthday and just HAVE to give her this card.

Happy birthday Alissa!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I hope you got spoiled, behaved, ate, drank, laughed and loved (not necessarily in that order)!

Happy Birthday Natasha!

New Years Eve saw us heading off to Natasha's birthday party (and for the late stayers a new years eve party).  Here's the card I made for her, using a stamp set from the up and coming Sale-a-bration range (a little sneak peak for you..)

Happy birthday Tash!

Cheers,
Donna

November Wrap Up!

Summer Mini Catalogue Swap

Being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, I get to pre-purchase items from catalogues before they are released.  This is so I can prepare for classes and releases.  It also allows us to take part in swaps with other demonstrators so we have other examples of items in the catalogues.

I took part in a swap organised by Kai Hughes and these are the cards I received in return for my design that I didn't take a photo of, and cant totally remember how it looked.  So, if you happened to get one of my cards, could you email me a copy?

Sheree Bennett
Liz Halbisch
Catherine Lloyd
Alison Britt

I don't know... If this is yours please let me know

Merry Christmas from Kari

Happy Birthday Melissa!

Melissa is a very dear friend from school, and someone I have manage to introduce to the world of card making.  So of course she deserves something beautiful (just like her!).  I also bought her some lovely SU! products.

I went all out using my markers and then clear embossed over the top.  What do you think?

Happy Birthday Mel!

Happy Birthday Mum!

We celebrated my mum's birthday on the 28th and as mum and dad are travelling it was a pop in and see us on their way down from QLD to my brothers just north of Wollongong.  This is the card we gave mum.  It's one of my favourites as you'll probably see this pop up quite a bit.

Cheers,
Donna

October Wrap Up!

Girls Night In!

My Girls Night In event was great, and I had some serious fun. I had so much fun, that I kept forgetting to take photos.... I did however capture a few moments, here they are.

It was a great afternoon and with every ones help, we managed to raise $185.50. Given that this was a small function (13 ladies) in my home, I'm quite happy with that effort. Thanks to everyone who came and purchased raffle tickets.

Happy Birthday Nicole!

My sister in law celecrated her birthday and this is the card I made her.  Repeated stamping of one image and a little clear embossing for a little more effect.

Happy birthday Nic!

Timmy Tiger visited us!

Zoes class at daycare has a pet tiger.  His name is Timmy and he's small sofy and cuddly.  The kids get to take him home for the week and then get to do a 2 page spread in his scrapbook, capturing all the fun things he got up to.

Now I'm no scrapbooker, so I was a bit daunted by this, but because the staff there know I'm a card maker, I felt the added preasure to create something more than a print out from the computer and a couple of happy snaps.

This is what I ended up with.

Happy Halloween!

I made 30 sour milk containers for Emily's friends at school.  They are great and can contain lollies (of course) or treats.

This is how they turned out.

Here are photos of my girls in their costumes for Trick or Treating.

Emily as a witch - very appropriate at times....

Zoe as a cat - her tail is back there somewhere...

Cheers,
Donna
